Candied Hazelnut Cupcakes

I joined the Marta Stewart Cupcake Club. Each month a cupcake is picked by a member, this month Jeanette from A Whimsical Cupcake picked Candied Hazelnut Cupcakes with Dark Chocolate Frosting. The cupcakes are made with ground toasted almonds and hazelnuts. The frosting is made with melted chocolate. You are supposed to top the cupcake with a candied hazelnut, but I opted not to. Not that I don't love hazelnuts, I do, but you dip the hazelnut it a hot sugar mixture and let it drip to make a long candied stick. I could just see Taylor using it as a sword to poke things with. I really don't want to be poked by a candied hazelnut sword. The cupcakes are delicious, I loved them. The frosting was great, really, really chocolatey.
